On April 25th 2016, Which? published an article on their website regarding alleged changes to UK child car restraint regulations.
It is our firm position that THE ARTICLE IS NOT ACCURATE.
On Wednesday, April 27 the UK Department for Transport refuted the Which? article.
The content of the article has received widespread coverage in the media and has raised many questions regarding backless booster seats. This notice is to clarify the situation and to reassure our customers that the mifold Grab-and-go booster seat has successfully exceeded all relevant regulatory requirements and is completely unaffected by the changes discussed in the Which? article.
We have discussed the inaccuracy of the article with the Head of Crash Injury Mitigation at the UK Department for Transport (DfT) the department responsible for UK child car restraint regulations. They have confirmed that the DfT refutes claims made by the Which? article.
We have reached out to Which? several times to discuss the article. To-date, the authors have not made themselves available for comment.
Backless booster seats are a safe, well-established, practical, convenient, proven and cost effective method of restraining a child in cars. Please find below additional information on our position.

Hi everyone ... this is a short update from Jon (the inventor and CEO of mifold). We normally publish one update each month ... this is an extra one as the last one was only three weeks ago.
The number one question that we are receiving is "where is my mifold?" You are probably aware that we have started shipping; many people have already received theirs and more are on the way all the time. Iinitial feedback is really great and we are delighted to be getting mifold into the hands (and bags) of children all over the world. The orders are shipped based on three factors: when you ordered, what you ordered and where you ordered.
We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service and we always answer every comment personally; here on Indiegogo, via email, on Facebook and tweeted. Hopefully this general comment will tide you over thill next week.
WE WILL BE ISSUING A FULL STATUS UPDATE ON WEDNESDAY MAY 11, 2016.
Thank you for your support and patience.
Best regards
Jon S

Dear mifold Backer,
Last month, we published an Indiegogo update, linked here, about our progress with the mifold Grab-and-Go Booster Seat as we are bringing this new car seat technology to you and to the world.
As we are at the end of March, we are receiving a few more questions. Please view this video from our CEO & Founder, Jon Sumroy, to explain where we are, and when your mifold is coming to you.
Shipping Beginning for Units Pre-Ordered by September 12, 2015 The first round of mifolds will begin to ship in April, and we are working round the clock with the utmost diligence to have it on your doorstep as soon as possible. This is just a few weeks off from the March shipping timeline.

People Ordering Now We estimate late May and Early June for your shipment dates, and we will be working round the clock to expedite these deliveries as well.
Thank you for joining us, and we are thrilled about your enthusiasm to receive the first mifold booster seats ever produced.
We have a final production design! We’ve improved the industrial design of mifold. Our booster seat now has a fantastic geometric pattern on the shell and soft interior cushioning. This design is the one all backers will be receiving in the coming months.
We Are Fully In Production Our factory completed a full production trial of all all the mifold components and a trial of mifold assembly and quality control processes. We’re delighted to report that the production line performed perfectly and we made hundreds of products during the test!
We Received Final Regulatory Approval In The US! Approval in the EU and Canada will follow shortly.

More People Love mifold We are honored to announce that Sweet Capital, an investment fund started by the Candy Crush founders, has led a round of $1.5 million invested in mifold! Read all about it on TechCrunch here.
Get Ready To Pick Your Color You’ll be receiving an email from Backerkit soon! You’ll be able to update your shipping address and select your mifold color preference. You can choose from SIX colors, including Taxi Yellow!
We Need a Little More Time. We have been working hard developing the revolutionary mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat for two years and as you know, we have been pre-selling on Indiegogo since last summer. It has been an exhilarating ride, generating much interest around the world. Safety is so incredibly important to us, and we refuse to deliver a product that is anything less than the safest booster seat possible. Because of this, we took a little more time than we initially thought to run through safety testing, and as a result we need a little more time to ship mifold to you.
In our campaign, we estimated a March 2016 shipment date for the first deliveries. As of today, we need a couple more weeks to be able to get those mifolds into the mail. We expect to begin shipping in April, for delivery by May or early June. Specific delivery dates will be based on your location, when you placed your order, and how soon you choose your mifold color.
