mifold Update: Research, Shipping Timetable and Canadian Information

Thank you to everyone for supporting the Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the mifold Grab-and-Go Booster seat. As far as we can tell, this is the most successful crowdfunding campaign ever for a juvenile product.  The overwhelming response exceeded our expectations and we have spent the last six months catching up with the incredible demand.

Research Feedback

Recently we sent a survey to more than 20,000 mifold Grab-and-Go Booster seat customers.  We have received great feedback from thousands of you, thank you. Our favourite result from the survey shows that nearly 90% of you would recommend mifold to other people. We are very proud of this.

Shipping Update

We are pleased to say that we have already delivered more than 92% of the worldwide orders.  With this update, we are providing information on the shipments for all pre-orders placed up to the end of October 2016.

Regional timetable

We have five categories based on your geographical region: the EU, Asia, Rest of the World, the USA and Canada.

This information is relevant to anyone who pre-ordered a mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat up to the 31st October 2016 (Canada 24th September).

The latest information is always on the webpage on our site with the timetables and shipping information:

Canada

Our Canadian backers have been the most patient and we are delighted to have the final shipping information for our Canadian supporters.  Here is a sneak peak at the Canadian packaging for the the Denim Blue mifold.

In 2001, I had a vision to create a child car safety seat that was so compact and portable that my four children could keep one with them all the time and be safe, no matter whose car they were in.  It took a few years, and now my children are too old for booster seats, so I am delighted that other parents and caregivers are benefitting from the invention.

Thank you ...

mifold "How To" videos

Hi guys ... we have just posted a series of "How To" videos on our YouTube Channel.

We love receiving feedback from users all around the world. We have listened to all your questions and comments and we have produced these films to help make sure that everyone understands how to use their mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat correctly.

First, we recommend that you watch the full 8-minutes version: here.  Then you can choose to review each of the segments separately as a refresher.

And always remember, mifold is so easy to use that a child can do it all by themselves.  You can see Tali using mifold in less than 30 seconds: here.

Please remember to always read the instruction manual carefully for full details about the correct installation and proper use.

Kind regards

The mifold Team

Indiegogo pre-orders shipping update

Thank you to everyone for supporting the Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the mifold Grab-and-Go Booster seat. As far as we can tell, this is the most successful crowdfunding campaign ever for a juvenile product.  The overwhelming response exceeded our expectations and we have spent the last five months catching up with the incredible demand.

We are pleased to say that we have already delivered more than 87% of the worldwide orders.  We appreciate your patience and, with this update, we expect to finalise the outstanding shipments for all pre-orders placed up to the end of August 2016.

Some background information

Three weeks ago, we made three significant changes to our logistics operations:

  • We relocated our pick and pack operation from China to the USA
  • We changed the 'last-mile' distribution from Cheektowaga, NY, closer to the new logistics centre in Los Angeles, CA
  • We switched from USPS to UPS for a more reliable last-mile delivery service

This transition has been implemented as quickly as possible but unfortunately (and maybe inevitably) there have been several challenges to overcome working with three new logistics partners for the first time. One main issue has been with miscommunication and misunderstandings between all the parties. As a result of these teething problems, we have unintentionally provided some incorrect information and this has also caused delays.

We strive to provide accurate and timely information and we apologise for the occasions where we have got it wrong.

Shipping update

We have updated the webpage on our site with the timetables and shipping information for customers who pre-ordered a mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat.  We have five categories based on your geographical region: the EU, Asia, Rest of the World, the USA and Canada (yes, we have information on Canada :-).

This information is relevant to anyone who pre-ordered a mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat up to the 31st August 2016.

Interim Update

THIS IS FOR CONTRIBUTORS IN THE USA THAT SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED THEIR TRACKING NUMBER LAST WEEK (WEEK COMMENCING 22 AUGUST 2016)

We did not manage to upload all the tracking numbers on time, sorry about the delay.  This is not affecting the actual shipment of your order.  The products have been transferred from our Californian warehouse to UPS: so they are on their way to you.

We expect to have all the tracking numbers posted by Tuesday at the latest.

We know it is frustrating for those of you that have already been waiting for a long time.  Once again, I can assure you that this will not impact the delivery timings of your package.

Kind regards

Interim Update

THIS IS FOR CONTRIBUTORS IN THE USA THAT RECEIVED A TRACKING NUMBER THIS WEEK (SINCE SUNDAY, 14 AUGUST 2016)

Due to a technical error, you have received the wrong tracking number. Your package is still on it's way to you in the same time frame. However you will not be able to track it at this time.

We are working to correct this and to reissue the correct tracking numbers as quickly as possible. We expect this to be within the next 24-hours.

You will receive a new email with the correct tracking number and if you log on to BackerKit, you will see the new tracking number underneath the wrong one

Please do not contact us about this issue. We would like to thank the 387 people, who have already contacted our customer service team about this; we will not be responding to you individually. Please note that no one else needs to contact us about this.

We are very sorry for this glitch as we know it is frustrating for those of you that received the incorrect information.  Once again, I can assure you that this will not impact the delivery timings of your package in any way.

Kind regards

Jon S
