Dear mifold backers,
Following the announcement of our EU certification news, we have an updated shipment timetable, separated into 5 geographical categories: EU, Asia, USA, Canada, and Rest of the World.
The following is relevant to anyone who pre-ordered a mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat through June 30, 2016. For post-June 30th orders, deliveries are planned for September.
Locate your region below - these correspond with expected dates (abbreviated):
MFD = “product manufactured by” date
SHP = “processing by local shipping agents” date
ARR = “arriving in country” date
EXP = the date when you can expect to have received your tracking numbers via email

Hey there, mifold backers,
This is an interim update for our European and Rest of World customers, ahead of our regular monthly update.
mifold Granted EU Regulatory Approval
We have some great news for you – having waited patiently for over 4 months, we have now been granted full European Union regulatory approval! We're delighted to receive this at last, as we successfully completed all the regulatory crash tests several months ago. With this approval confirmed, we can now proceed with shipping the orders for Europe and for the Rest of World.
Next Steps
We are immediately finalising the assembly of the mifold Grab-and-Go booster seats and adding the unique regulatory approval stickers. We expect this to be completed by mid July after which we will begin shipping.
Timings
We understand that accurate timings are important to you (and that vague statements can be frustrating). Our supply chain and logistics team is now working on the shipping details for the remaining Indiegogo orders. On Tuesday, July 5th we will publish details of the expected shipping dates.

This is one of a two-part update with details on shipment status.
Currently Shipping 20,000+ mifold Seats
Post your photos, videos and reviews online; tag with the hashtag #mifold. There are now 15,000 mifold seats with children and caregivers (and another 6,000 on the way) the response has been overwhelmingly positive, thank you!
Shipping Update for the USA
As we communicated in last month’s update, all US customers that ordered between July 14 and Sept 11, 2015 have now received their orders. If you haven't it could be because 1) you have still not completed your questionnaire on Backerkit, 2) you only very recently completed it, 3) your shipping address in Backerkit has errors (log in to check), or 4) your credit card was declined. Please check your email spam folder for a message from Backerkit.
The next batch of US mifold seats are manufactured and are on their way. They will arrive at the USPS facilities in early July, at which point the US Postal Service will issue your tracking numbers and deliver your orders.
Shipping Update for the EU and Rest of the World
Simply put, the government regulators in Europe have never seen a product so “unique and innovative” in design, and as a result, are going through a much longer process to regulate it. We are just as frustrated as many of our friends, family, and supporters who wanted mifold seats for their travels.
We submitted a full dossier to the European regulators earlier this year, including the crash test data that meets or exceeds the regulatory standards. While the process is normally quick (only a few weeks), we heard it could take up to two months. We couldn’t anticipate that we would be waiting nearly FOUR months (and counting!). We've been issued a registration number and the first of two approval certificates in early May; unfortunately we are still waiting for the second one to arrive. We are in contact with the regulators daily and have met with them again this week.
At the end of the day, we are at the mercy of a governmental regulatory process and we have to be patient.
